世界癌症日2024：從24 個關鍵數字解構全球癌症現況| GeneOnline News – 基因線上 GeneOnline

自 2000 年起，國際抗癌聯盟（Union for International Cancer Control，UICC）將每年的 2 月 4 日定為世界癌症日（World Cancer Day）。其宗旨在於動員全球社會，針對促進癌症研究、強化癌症防治、提升抗癌意識和改善病人照護等重要範疇，透過教育、倡議和行動，共同減輕全球癌症負擔。
2022 至 2024 年的世界癌症日都以「縮小照護差距（Close the Care Gap）」為主題。來到 3 年計畫的最後一年，除了讓各界認識現時全球癌症護理的不平等現象以及表揚在癌症防治和照護方面取得的進展，UICC 更希望讓各國政商領袖參與其中，在制定政策或進行決策時優先考慮癌症問題，訂立創新策略以消弭醫療不平等，並挹注更多資源，為建立公平、無癌症的世界出一分力。
為響應 2024 年世界癌症日，基因線上團隊圍繞「癌症統計」、「研究與治療」、「藥物核准與銷售」和「照護差距」4 大範疇彙整資訊，借助數字揭示 24 個與癌症相關的重要事實，幫助廣大讀者掌握全球和台灣的癌症現況。
